COLD, UNSETTLED WEATHER.
9; Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather will still be cold and unsettled, with further rain generally, and heavy falls in places, says the evening forecast. Snow is probable in parts of Canterbury and Otago. Conditions will improve in Westland. Northerly winds may be expected north of Cook Strait, backing gradually to south-west. Elsewhere- there will be south-east to southerly winds, moderate to, strong generally and reaching gale force in many places. Seas will be moderate in coastal waters north of Castlepoint and elsewhere rough in New Zealand waters. Strong southerly winds to gales aie probable in the eastern Tasman Sea. with rough and rising seas.
