COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICES. ELTHAM COUNTY COUNCIL. .RATES 1929-30. JQEMANDS for the current years rates were all posted on July 6, 1929. If by reason of recent transfers of property (or any other cause) any person interested has not received a demand, full information will be available upon application at the office. Discount of five per cent. (1/- in the £) is allowed off all General Rates provided all rates are paid on or before 4 p.m. on Monday, August 19, 1929. Exchange must be added to all cheques drawn on banks outside Eltham, Stratford, and Kaponga. Ratepayers are reminded that in view of the council’s powers to enforce payment after fourteen days from date of demand, five per cent discount allowed for prompt payment, becomes a large concession when calculated on the annual percentage basis.
