DOMICILE ON YACHT
MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT. • London, July 1. Major Beaumont Thomas, the new Conservative member of the House of Commons for King’s Norton, has solved the problem of the high cost of living by domiciling himself in a 50-ton yacht anchored in the Thames off Chiswick. The yacht contains two staterooms, tw-o cabins, a lounge, and a bathroom, and it accommodates six people. Major Thomas says he finds this onethird cheaper than living in a house, besides expediting his work.
