BRITISH TOURING UNITED STATES LOSE TRACK RUBBER, WIN TENNIS By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Received July 14 11 p.m. New York, July 13. The Yale-Harvard Universities track team defeated the Oxford-Cambridge (British) team by 8J to 3} in the ninth meeting, giving the Americans five victories to four. The meeting was at Cambridge, Massachusetts. The British team struggled valiantly but was no match for the Americans. Harper of Oxford won the 120 yards hurdles with Mann second. At South Orange (New Jersey) the Oxford-Cambridge tennis team gained a 4—2 lead in the singles and a 2 —l lead in the doubles against the PrincetonWilliams team in 21 matches. Young defeated Richard Shoaff of Williams University 6 —3, 6 —3, but when paired with Avory of Cambridge in the doubles last to Strachan and Thomas of Princeton, 6—4, 6 —4.
