WEATHER WILL IMPROVE.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather will be changeable, with passing showers in most districts and heavy rain in places. Temperatures wih become cold, with snow probable in parts of Canterbury and Otago and hail on parts of the coast. Conditions will improve gradually later from the north and west. Winds will be westerly at first, but will back gradually to, southerly. They will be moderate to strong generally and will reach gale force in exposed positions. Seas will be moderate in coastal waters north of Castle: point, but rough otherwise.
