JERSEY BREEDERS’ CLUB
MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE. At the monthly meeting of the New Plymouth Jersey Breeders’ Club yesterday the following members were present: Messrs. H. C. Sampson (chairman), A. J. Luxton, E. Griffiths, A. R. Gudopp and F. W. Cornwall. In a letter from the New Zealand Jersey Cattle Breeders’ Association it was stated that, in addition to the ordinary show subsidy, the council had decided to make a donation of £lO to the club for a class at the show. The prize was for a bull and his three daughters, which must be in full milk. The donation was made only provided a further amount of £2 10s was raised by the club. The whole sum would then carry the usual subsidy and the total w’ould be £l5.
Consideration of the matter of the smoke concert was deferred till the next meeting. It was resolved to hold the club’s bull fair during the first week in October.
