One man is reported missing from the Ll2 crew of 3(5. The disaster occurred in St. George’s Channel, between England and Ireland, 12 miles north-west of St. David’s Head, Pembrokeshire,, this morning. The Admiralty announces the position as 52 N, 5 W.

The 1147, which was launched in 1918, was attached to the sixth submarine flotilla. It was acting as tender to the depot-ship Vulcan. Its officers included Lieut.-Commander R. S. Gardner, who was saved, Lieut. R. W. Moir and SubLieut, R. G. Cronin.

The survivors are Lieut.-Commander Gardner and the telegraphist of 1147. The authorities have not yet been informed of the circumstances of the disaster.
