MAGISTBiTB INFLICTS FINE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, July 9. Yesterday three officials of the Takapuna Boating Club were prosecuted Tinder the Gaming Act in connection with a lottery at the winter show. This morning the police said it had been represented that the club was an incorporated society, and if the club was prosecuted the police were agreeable to the withdrawal of the individual charges, whereupon the magistrate (Mr. F. K. Hunt) fined the club £1 and dismissed the charges against the officials.
