PLANE ARRIVES AT BAGDAD.

Tho Southern Cross, Hying from Aus-: tralia to India, arrived at Basra at 12.45 p.m. to-day from Bunder Abbas, about 550 miles, and left immediately for Bagdad, covering the 275 miles this afternoon. Tho plane will leave for Athens, 1200 miles away, to-morrow. Tho monoplane, with Squadron-Leader Kingsford Smith, Flight-Lieutenant C. T. P. Ulin (co-pilots), Mr. H. A. Litchfield (navigator) and Mr. T. H. (wireless operator), left Richmond, Syd-, hey, on June 25. The details of thd. flight are: —

June 25. —Left Richmond, Sydney, for ? Derby, Western Australia, about? 2100 miles. - . June 26. —Arrived at Derby after flight , of 22 hours 5 minutes. .
