A combined air and rail passenger service for 46 hours from New York to Los Angeles became an actuality tonight, when an aeroplane of the Pennsylvania system moved off from the railway platform bearing a dozen passengers. Colonel Lindbergh, in Los Angeles, pressed a button which started the first ’plane from New York. Sightseeing aboard the ’plane and alternately sleeping aboard the trains, passeng will cross the continent in two days.
