WEATHER IMPROVING AND COLD.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. There will be some scattered showers still, mainly in western districts, but the weather will improve gradually. There will be cold temperatures with some frosts. A continuance of westerly weather is probable. There will be moderate to strong south-westerly winds freshening at times north of Kawhia and Tauranga. Seas will be moderate to rather rough generally but decreasing on the east coast.
