GENERAL AND PERSONAL ITEMS, j (From Our Own Correspondent.) | The fortnight’., euchre and dance party was held on Friday. There was a good attendance. The ladies’ prize was won by Mrs. L. Wadsworth and Mr. J. Jans won the men’s. Mr. Wadsworth and Mr. Jans tied, and Miss F. Wadsworth and Mi'- C. McCrae won the booby prizes. After the euchre a dance was held for a couple of hours to music supplied by Mr. Charlie Smith. Mr. H. Wallath capably "itßilled the duties of M.C. The residents of the district will be pleased when rural delivery begins, having their mail delivered thrice weekly. Air. Dun an has taken up his residence in Mangorei and is going in for poultry. Mr. G. Knauf and his niece, Miss Grace "Wells, have returned from n motoring trip to Te Kuiti. Mv. Alec Reid has returned from a holiday in Wellington. Miss Dorothy Pearce has returned home from a holiday at Pihama. Mrs. H. H. Wood has returned from the South Island much benefited in health. / Mr. Wadsworth has recovered from his illness. Mrs. H. Sears, Oka to. spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Airs. S. Flay. Miss Winnie Jackson has returned from a holiday at Okato.
