LOTTERY AT WINTER SHOW
PERMIT ALLEGED INSUFFICIENT. By Telegraph.—Press Association, • Auckland, July 8. Three members of the Takapuna Boating Club were charged in the Police Court with conducting a lottery at the winter show. It was stated that permission had been obtained from the Minister of Internal Affairs, but the Chief Detective stated that the scheme running at the show was not covered by the permit. The case w’as adjourned till to-mor-row. .
