CHARGE OF ABDUCTION FAILS STRANGE REVELATIONS IN COURT. i • COUPLE ADVISED TO LIVE APART, By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Australian Press Association. Sydney, July 6. One of the strangest stories was told in the Police Court yesterday' when Daniel Willis, aged 34, was charged with having abducted Kathleen Foster, aged 20. An examination of the birth certificates of accused and the girl prove that they are half brother and sister. The documents -revealed that the man’s birth was registered when his mother was 15 years old, and that his Bistex was born after her mother’s marriage. Willis and Foster were married last year. Tho girl’s mother declared from the box that when sent by* her mother to register the birth of defendant, the registrar entered her name as .the boy's mother. The magistrate remarked: “I don’t believe you.” The abduction charge was dismissed and the couple were advised to live apart until the matter was solved.
