FALSE PRETENCE ADMITTED
SENTENCE OF HARD LABOUR. , By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Jan. 28. Pleading guilty to 17 charger of false pretences by tendering valueless cheques in various parts of the country, to a total value of £127 14s, George Thomae Nelson, a salesman aged 27, was sentenced at the Police Court to two years’ hard labour. Last March he completed a term of three years’ reformative treatment. He is to appear ,at Hamilton on a charge of forgery and a further charge emanating from vvellnigton was withdrawn.
