The discovery of a new combination metal called carbloy is announced, by the General Electric ; Company. It is so hard that it cuts steel and glass. It will cut a screw thread, in a glass rod and bore a smooth hoi© in a block of concrete. It will also shave as cleanly as th© hardest steel.
