Sales through the medium of private treaty have been effected as follow: Fat wethers, £2 2s to £3 3s; heavy fat ewes, 38s; lighter, 36s to 31s. During the week the firm has held several bull fairs. A good bench of buyers has been to evidence at each fair, with the result that all the sales have been of a satisfactory nature. Prices ruling for good-conditioned two-year-old grade herd sires are from £l2 to £l6; best grade yearlings, £9 to £l2; small £6 to £7, Prices ruling for pedigrees are from 12 guineas to 35 guineas for two-year-old herd sires, while best yearlings are making from 12 guineas to 18 guineas, and smaller sorts 8 guineas to 10 guineas.
