LADIES DEFEAT TEE MEN. Miniature rifle shooting in New Ply mouth was brought to an enjoyable close last evening, when the ladies of the elub tried conclusions with the men. The fair sex shot more consistently and ran out victorious by a comfortable margin of six points. Miss Ramson was shooting well and put on the best score of the evening—6B. Following are the scores: —- Ladies. —Miss Ramson 68, Miss Pop? 66, Miss Philpott 66, Miss Flyger 65, Miss Bell 65, Miss A. Harvey *65, Miss Hasell 65, Miss E. Corney 65, Miss Kretsehmar 62, Miss Woodham 59—■ total 646. Men.—J. Ramson 67, Taylor 67, J. Turnbull 67, MeGahey 66, G. Parker 6'5, Moore 63, Pearson 63, Goodin 61, Jenkins 61, Higgs 60—total 640. After the shoot the men of the club entertained the ladies at supper and the president, Mr. J. G. Turnbull, too’: the opportunity of presenting the trophies won during the year. The ladies' championship was won by Miss Kretschmar, while Mr. J. Ramson annexed the men’s championship. Handicap trophies were won by Misses Hasell, Kretsehmar and Philpott, and Messrs J. Ramsor (two) and W. Short.
