DECISIONS OF EXECI TIVE. Mr. J. Foy presided over a meeting of the executive of the Taranaki Bowling Centre at New Plymouth yesterday, others present being Messrs E. T. Petty, A. K. Smart, E. Dingle, F. Quin, A. Adam and A. T. Moore. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs A. H. R. Amess, J. Woods and H. P. Best. It was decided that the Centre levy for the ensuing season be 6d per member, with a minimum of £1 Is per club, plus 6d per member Dominion Association levy. Satisfaction was expressed that Mr. Smart had been re-elected a member of the Dominion Council. The application of the Kaponga Club for permission to play in the shield competition in both the Southern ami Western Divisions was approved, provided other clubs concerned raised no bbjectio. objection. It was decided that entries for the New Year tournament to be held at New Plymouth close on December 18. The open tournament will commence at New Plymouth on Monday, January 21, entries closing on January 8. The Easter tournament will be held at Hawera. It was reported that Auckland and South Auckland Centres would visit Taranaki this season. It was resolved that it be the duty of the home team in the shield competition to notify a visiting team if weather conditions are unsuitable for play, such notification to be given not later than 11.30 a.m. on the day set aside for the match. In the event of a team refusing to travel when conditions are suitable for a match, nad having been so notified, it shall forfeit the game.
