Drought, failure of the crops and the shortage of butter and eggs necessitates instant relief for 350,000 starving children in the Ukraine (south-west Russia), where 4,000,000 peasants are going hungry. The Soviet has voted £1,250,000 for food and relief works. Typhus is adding to the people’s suf* fering.
