CANTERBURY HOME BURNED
MISCHIEF CAUSED BY GALE. By Teictrraph.— Press Association. Oamaru, Last Night. A six-roomed residence at Livingetone, owned by Mr. J. Mackenzie, was completely destroyed by fire yesterday. The blaze being fanned by a gale the building was quickly engulfed in flames. The outbreak was caused by the wind staving in the kitchen window, strong gusts blowing the fire from the range. Nothing was saved. The house was insured but the furniture was not covered.
