The Totara, which has been sheltering in the Sounds, arrived at New Plymouth last night from Timaru, via 1 Wellington. She proceeds to-day to Wellington and Lyttelton. (U.S.S. Co.). The Kaponga is expected this afternoon from Dunedin, via Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Nelson. She later proceeds to Westport. (U.S.S. C 0.)., The Kainm>?wa, which was due at New Plymouth to-day with 450 '<ms of coal, is bar-bound at Westqort. (U.S.S. Co.). The John was scheduled to leave Wanganui at 8 p.m. last night. She is due at New Plymouth about noon to-

day. She proceeds this evening to Lyttelton, where she will reload, and is due in New Plymouth again about October 17. (Holm and Co.). The Progress leaves Wellington on Friday. She is due at New Plymouth on Monday and proceeds the same day to Port Waikato. (Holm and Co.). The Corinna is due to load at Dunedin about Saturday for New Plymouth via Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Nelson. She is due here about October 19. (U.S.S. Co.) The Alexander is expected to arrive at New Plymouth with 300 tons of coal from Westport to-day. On discharging she will again proceed to Westport; (Cock and Co.) NEW PLYMOUTH-ONEHUNGA FERRY The Rarawa is wue at New Plymouth to-morrow morning from Onehunga with passengers and cargo. She returns tomorrow night and is expected at New Plymouth again on Tuesday. DEVON DUE TO-DAY. The Devon left Lyttelton at 10.5 p.m. on Tuesday for New Plymouth to complete discharging Liverpool cargo, and to continue loading for American, London and West of England ports. The vessel is expected to leave here next Wednesday for Wellington, Napier and Auckland to complete loading. She is to sail finally from Auckland on October 30 for New i’ork, Halifax, London, Avonmouth, Glasgow and Liverpool, via Panama. RAIN DELAYS PORT DUNEDIN. The Poet Dunedin was expected to complete loading 15,000 boxes of butter, 12,000 crates of cheese and freight carcases yesterday for London. Stormy weather delayed operations and she is now expected to sail early this morning for Wellington to complete. She later proceeds to London, via Panama. VESTVARD TO-DAY. The Norwegian motor-ship Vestvard sailed at noon on Tuesday from Wellington. She was expected to berth today, but was delayed by heavy weather. The ship arrived off the port about 4 p.m. to-day, but could not berth and so put to sea for the night. She will berth early this morning. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS.
