BRITISH SHIPS IN AUSTRALIA
TRADING FACILITIES EXTENDED. British Official Wireless. Rugby, Oct, 9. In the course of a speech at Sydney Air. S. M. Bruco, Australian Prime Minister, announced the intention of repealing the coastal clauses of the Australian Navigation Act. This will permit British ships to engage in Australian coastal trade. Air. Bruce further intimated that tariff protection would be afforded vessels complying with Australian wages, living conditions ami regulations.
