Received Oct. 10, 7.5 p.m. Tokio, Oct. 10Many hundreds of fishermen were drowned and severe casualties were suffered among coastal shipping to-day in a typhoon of which no warning was received. Several steamers have sent wireless messages that they are in distress. Cruisers and destroyers have been despatched to their assistance.
