UNSETTLED WEATHER

By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Strong north to west winds to gales over New Zealand and the Tasman Sea with generally rough seas and becoming heavy on the west coast of the South Island are indicated in the evening forecast. The weather will be unsettled and squally with rain in most districts, but mainly scattered on the east coast. Heavy falls are probable in Westland and Otago and on the ranges of the South Island with some flooding, thunder and hail at places. -4n improvement of short duration is likely soon.
