TWO FATAL ACCIDENTS
DEATHS AT WELLINGTON. By Telegraph.— Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Two deaths from injuries received in accidents occurred in the Wellington Hospital early this morning. Samuel Sloan Oliver, a resident of Hastings, aged about 45, -died at hospital on his admission there at 2 a.m. Oliver was knocked down by a motorear in Thorndon Quay at 1.50 a.m. and .received a fracture of- the skull and left leg. Fataj injuries were received by Eric Toulson, aged 36, a civil servant, who boarded at Retone. He was riding a motor-cycle and side-car towards Petone about 6.30 p.m. yesterday and failed to turn the corner properly at the Victoria Street and Hutt Road intersection, with the result that he crashed into a fence. Toulson fractured his right wrist and pelvis and also received wounds on the forehead and shock. He was admitted to the hospital, but died at 2.15 a.m. to-day.
