GIRL AND BABY FOUND DEAD

DISCOVERIES IN AUCKLAND. By Telcgw’’.—Press Association. Auckland, Oct. 0. The dead body of a. newly-born female child was found this morning in a small building in Myers I’ara. The body was unclothed and bore no marks of violence. The dead body of Elsie Walker, aged 18, was found face downwards among some scrub in a scoria pit at Panmure. There were no external marks of violence. Deceased was wearing a youth’s overcoat. She was the daughter of D. Renzy Walker, of Raukokori. near Opotiki. For some time past had been employed by Mr. and Airs. F rank Bayley at Papamoa, near Te Puke, Bayley being her uncle. It is thought that on Monday last, she took Bayley’s motor-ear and drove away. The ear was found abandoned at Papatoetoe on Monday evening.
