PEDIGREE JERSEY BULLS.

HAWERA’S FORTHCOMING FAIR. The quality and butter-fat backing contained in the bulls to be offered on Tuesday, October 9, at the Hawera Pedigree Jersey Bull Fair, to be conducted by Newton King, Ltd., are exceptional. The famous Rosy Creek stud is represented by four 2-year-old bulls of such wonderful dams and grand dams as Comely, Mifanwy, Rainbow’s Gleam and Rosy Creek Gleam, all tested cows that have returned high butter-fat figures. The sires of these bulls are Viola’s Golden Noble and Cains, which are also out of some of New Zealand’s best. The Riverswood stud is represented by three choice 2-year-olds, chielly by Bright Aster and descendants of his, out of exceptionally well bred and high testing cows. The Glenbrook stud is represented by three animals—one the famous bull Patch's Lad, a wonderful show bull and sire of choice daughters. The Thornycroft stud has two animals entered—one a particularly choice two-year-old bull by Thornycroft Masterpiece, and the other being by Clarion (imported). The Holly Bank stud has also entered two, both by Clarion (imported).
