HEAVY DAMAGE IN SYDNEY. By Telegraph—Press Assn. Copyright. Sydney, Oct. 5. A fierce fire in Elizabeth Street, Paddington, destroyed several shops and two factories, whilo five men, including two firemen, were injured. The damage was over £12,000. There was a thrilling spectacle when an avalanche of bricks fell, some of which struck firemen and spectators. The premises, which wore burned, were insured in the National Insurance Company of New Zealand.
