TASMAN FLIERS AWAIT WORD. By Telegraph.—-Press Association. Blenheim, Oct. 4. After returning from Christchurcn Smith and Litchfield went on to a cottag© in the sounds where to-day will be spent. Dr. Kidson’e latest bulletin indicates that the disturbance at present in the Tasman may clear within a few hours and conditions should be favourable for the Blenheim-Sydney flight during th) week-end. Smith and his crew have been invited to attend the International civil aeronautics conference at Washington from December 11 to 19, preceded by a week’s aeroplane show at- Chicago. The invitation will be gladly accepted if «iruumstances make It possible.
