WORLD’S WHEAT SUPPLY
SLIGHT INCREASES EXPECTED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Washington, Sept. 21. The Department of Agriculture forecasts that the world wheat supply this year will be only 4 per cent, greater than the supply available in 1927. It anticipates that this incrase will be largely offset by the increase in demand. It is pointed out that the increases in North America are likely to be balanced by anticipated smaller crops in Russia and India, both of which will probably be compelled to import wheat before the end of the season.
