RED MUD FALLS FROM AIR
RAIN FOLLOWS DUST STORMS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received September 23, 5.5 p.m. Sydney, Sept. 23. Strong winds and dust storms in many parts of New South Wales resulted in large quantities of fine dust being held in suspension in the upper air. Fine rain on Friday night brought much dust down. Next morning buildings and clothes were spotted with a light reddish mud. The meteorologist says that though this is an unusual experience here conditions are such that there may be an early repetition.
