ENGLISH CRICKETERS LEAVE
DEPARTURE FOR AUSTRALIA. By Telegraph—Press Assn. Copyright. United Service. London, Sept. 20. Thousands farewelled the cricketers at the Folkestone quayside, including Ames’ old school chums. Mrs. Chapman, formerly Miss Lowry, Hawke’s Bay, was excited at the prospect of going home, and joined her husband, with whom she was photographed on arrival at the quayside with a horseshoe round his neck. The Australian Board of Cricket Control has decided that there shall be four ou the selection committee for the forthcoming tests. against England. It also decided to invite West Indies and South African teams between 1929 and 1932.
