OFFENCES AT TAUMARUNUI. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Aug. 20. In the Supreme Court, John Leslie Buckley was sentenced by Mr. Justice Reed to three years’ hard labour on a charge of breaking, entering and theft at Taumarunui, the sentence to be concurrent with that which Buckley is now serving. James Davis, alias John Gibb Hastings, was declared an habitual criminal and was sentenced to two years’ hard labour for breaking, entering and theft at Te Awamutu and Auckland.
