TARANAKI SUCCESSES. (By Wire —Special to News.) Palmerston N., Last Night. Taranaki fanciers, as usual, entered very freely in the poultry section at the Palmerston North winter show, and scored very heavily in the fancy section. J. K, Hawkins (New Plymouth) scored first and second in Minorcas, W. Jones (New Plymouth) scored four firsts and one special, F. Weston (Stratford), one first (English leghorn), T. G. Fowler (Wallace) two firsts, three seconds and two thirds, G. D. George (Waitara) a third. In American leghorns, W. Parker (Bell Block) took three firsts and a third; S. D. George (Waitara) a first. In Wyandottes, W. Scott (New Plymouth) won two firsts and two thirds. In bantams, 11, McNeill (New Plymouth) scored a second and a third. In the utility section, J. K, Hawkins (New Plymouth) scored a first and special in Minorcas; F. Weston (Stratford) first in Brown Leghorns; W. Parker (Bell Block) first in Silver Wyandotte pullets. In ducks, I. W. Carrick (Tangarakau) scored two firsts, a second and three thirds. » In -working Homers, R. T. Gardiner (New Plymouth) scored three firsts, a second and a third; P. Molloy (New Plymouth) a flret, a second and five thirds. For fancy pigeons, J. Hurle (New Plymouth) secured five firsts, four seconds and three thirds, and a v.h.c. In other sections there was a sprinkling of Taranaki exhibitors, and they received mention in tho prize list. In the honey section, R. J. Nicholas (llawera) secured a first, a second and a third. In amateur photography, L. G. Westwood (llawera) obtained a first (under 18 years), and L. G. and H. N. Westward, v.h.c. In fancy work Mrs. A. Hoskins (Waitara) secured one first and Mrs. J. Watt (Opunake) one third.
