TINKER ADMITS THEFTS

DWELLING-HOUSES ENTERED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, May 22. In the Magistrate’s Court to-day Henry Patrick Moore, aged 38, pleaded guilty to eight charges of breaking and entering various houses early this month and committing theft. The police said that the accused travelled round as a tinker. To gain entrance he broke leadlights over door* or windows and then loosened the catch. In all he had taken £lOO worth of goods and jewellery from the eight houses. He was caught in the act at a Sydenham house. Moore, was committed for sentence, no bail being applied for.
