WIND AND RAIN PREDICTED.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Northerly winds north of New Plymouth and Napier, but southerlies becoming general shortly and increasing to gale force are likely in places in and south of Cook Strait, states the evening forecast. Strong southerly winds to gale and rough to very rough seas in the Tasman Sea are expected. The weather will be chiefly fair on the West Coast of the South Island, and elsewhere unsettled, with much cloud and mist and fairly general rain. Cool temperattires with some frost inland in the South Island may be expected.
