SEARCH FOR LOST SOLDIER
FATHER GOES TO AUSTRALIA. By Telegraph. —Press Association. Hamilton, May 18. A New Zealander who returned from the war wounded wae taken to the hospital in Adelaide some nine years ago. Since then big relatives have been unable to learn anything of his fate. The soldier was- Percival West. His father, Andrew West, of Morrinsville, left for Australia for the second time on ' Wednesday in the hope of tracing his son. When the war broke out Percival West was in Australia and joined one of the first Australian regiments. He was three times wounded and continued on active service through the war. When peace was declared West, who was suffering from the effects of a wound, was shipped back and sent to the hospital in Adelaide. From there he last wrote to his people. Mr. West senior went to Australia, intending to bring his eon back, but could find no trace. The father has now provided himself with papers from the Defence Department and le going to Australia to renew the search.
