TRAMWAYS PAYS DAMAGES
MAN HURT IN A COLLISION. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. Judgment against the Christchurch Trainways Board for £516 16s was given by Mr. Justice Adams on the finding of a jury in the Supreme Court to-day In the ease in which an Invercargill resident, Daniel Petrie Walker, a railway employee, sued the Tramway Board and the Inter-City Motor Service Company for £559 19s damages for injuries received.in a collision between a tramcar and a’ ’bus at a street intersection. The jury found that the accident was due to negligence on the part of the -tramway motorman.
