MeLEAN—'BROWN. The marriage took place at St. Mary’s Church, New Plymouth, last Wednesday, of Miss Dorothy Elanor Brown, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A, E. R. Brown, Of New Plymouth, and Mr. Ronald McLean, youngest son of Mrs. E. C. McLean, St. Aubyn Street, New Plymouth. The Rev. Canon E. H. Strong officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father,, was attired in a frock of ivory taffeta. The veil, which was embroidered in silver, was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom. A bouquet of white asters completed the toilet. The bride was attended by Miss Ada Honeyfield, cousin of the bridegroom, who wore primrose taffeta, and Miss Marjorie Bayly, who wore leaf-green taffeta. Eaxih of the bridesmaids wore dainty caps of pink net, finished with a rosette, and carried bouquets to tone. Mr. Robert Aitken was best man. Mr. Ashley Petty, cousin of the bridegroom, was groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Kawaroa Park bungalow. Later the bride and bridegroom left by car for Waitomo Caves and to tour the North Island. The bride travelled in a smart peach shade -costume with hat to match. The presents were numerous. Gl NN-PENT FLOW. Miss Rose Emma, fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Pentelow, Oaonui, was married 'to Mr. Roy M. Gunn', fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Gunn, St. Clair, Dunedin, at the Methodist Church, Opunake, on March 21. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Coatswcrth, Opunake. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, was attired in ivory satin and georgette with panel of silver lace, and silver shoes to match. She wore a beautiful hand-embroidered veil, suspended from a wreath of orange blossoms and carried a bouquet of white flowers.

She was attended by her sister, Mies Annie Pentelow, who wore a dainty froek of duchesse blue crepe do chine and georgette, trimmed with gold lace and gold shoes to match. She also had a deep cream model hat with touches of blue, and carried a bouquet of cream and deep yellow flowers. Mr. ‘W. Pentelow was best man. Mrs. T. Hughson was organist. After the ceremony the wedding breakfast was held at the residence of the bride’s parents.

Mr. and Mrs. Gunn left later by car for their future home in Mastertori, the bride travelling in a dress of dove grey repp worked in silk embroidery and side panels of French pleating, and hat of pale green georgette.
