NORTH TARANAKI MATTERS. MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS. A meeting of the management committee of the North Taranaki Cricket Division was held last night. Present: Messrs C. G. Bottrill (chairman), T. H. Bates, W. H. Quickfall, J. Brown, G. W. Haughton, W. Moorhead, A. Jackson, F. J. Eggleton, S. 0. Jones and D. F. C. Saxton (honorary secretary). The High School were granted per- . mission to play ’Wanganui College on the Pukekura Park ground next Wednesday and Thursday. The secretary was authorised to forward to the New Zealand Cricket Council a cheque for £lO6 on account of the Australian match. Some discussion ensued as to whether it was worth while continuing the senior competition matches now that the final had been reached. Finally it was resolved to continue the matches as usual on March 24 and March 31, thus completing the second round, with the exception of tire match in which the winner of to-day's final is scheduled to be engaged. This match will have to be abandoned, as the championship winners will be engaged in other matches. The secretary reported that the gatetakings for the two days of the Australian match amounted to £146 19s 6d.

A letter was received from BrigadierGeneral H. Bateman Champain, thanking the association for its invitation to attend the Australian match. He had enjoyed the morning on the beautiful ground, he said, and vias much interested in the cricket.
