WEATHER FORECAST.

By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The official evening weather forecast states: Winds will be chiefly south-east to north-east, fresh to strong north of Kawhia and East Cape, and freshening elsewhere. Rough seas may be expected north of Castlepoint, and rising to the southwards. Seas will be smooth to moderate on the west coast. Disturbed conditions with strong south-east to north-east winds and rough seas in the central and north-east Tasman are expected. Unsettled weather with rain north of Kawhia and Napier, and extending gradually to other districts, is likely, but there will be little rain on the west coast of the South Island.
