IMPORTATION OF MUNITIONS
CAUSES OF CHINESE CIVIL WAR. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. A. and N.Z. Shanghai, March J 3. Realising that China’s prolonged internal warfare was largely due to the importations of munitions from abroad, the diplomatic body at Peking conferred, and decided to telegraph to their respective Governments drawing attention to the importance of the arms embargo of 1919, prohibiting the exportation of arms and munitions from their territories to China and requesting the Governments who have not taken measures to this effect to do so.
