Grace Warner, an actress who played with her father in such roles as Juliet, Portia, Desdemona and Galates in Australia three years ago when she Was 17, died in poverty in Southend this year. It is to-day revealed that ehe has just been >elt a lega'r-y of £20,000 Vy Emily Hughes, an aged, recluse. Emily Hughes saw'Miss Warner play at the Windsor years ago and was so impressed that the became acquainted with the actress. Latterly Emily Hughes locked herself up ami barricaded the house, refusing to admit anyone. Miss Warner’s last appearance was as Tilly at a Bloomsbury theatre in 1920.
