PERAMBULATOR ON ARE
INFANT GIRL FATALLY BURNED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Taumarunui, Oct. 18. Phyllis May Sumpter, infant daughter of J. A. Sumpter, died in hospital last night as a result of burns received late yesterday afternoon. Smoke was seen issuing from the house and a passer-by entered and found the child's perambulator on fire. The fire was extinguished and the child, badly burnt, removed to the hospital, where she died.
