The Penury Ball to be held at Okato to-morrow (Wednesday), should prove to be a very pleasant and interesting function. Arrangements have been made for a bus to run from New Plymouth and this should have the effect of considerably increasing the attendance at the ball. As is notified by advertisement elsewhere in this issue, the annual general meeting of the New Plymouth Lawn Tennis Club, which is to be held in the Soldier's Club this evening, will be held at 7.30 instead of 8 p.m. in order to enable those members who desire to do so to attend Mr. Alexander Watson’s Recital.
