THREE WAIHI CASUALTIES
BODY FOUND IN THE RIVER. Bj Telegraph.—Press Association. Waihi, Oct. 17. The body of Ralph Johnston, 52, formerly an employee of the Waihi company at the Waikino battery, was found in the Ohinemuri River. Johnston was last seen alive at Waikino on Friday evening riding a bicycle. A searen party discovered the cycle on the bank. Alexander Churton, while motoring met witli an accident in the Karangahake Gorge. The cycle skidded when passing a motor-cyele and went over the river bank. Churton sustained a fractured rib aid injuries to his head. B. Warner, 27, of Katikati, fell heavily from a motor-cycle on the bridge at the entrance to Waihi township, and was removed to the hospital suffering from concussion of tire brain.
