OFFENCES AT AUCKLAND
SERIOUS CRIMES PUNISHED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Oct. 17. In the Supreme Court, Frederick Dixon, aged 44, on nine charges of breaking, entering and theft, and two charges of breaking with intent to steal, was placed on probation for three years conditional on his taking out a prohibition order. He had had an attack of meningitis, which presumably had affected his morals, and he was previously of good character. George Clements Pook, for incest at Dargaville, was given Borstal detention at WaiKeria for two years. lan Cameron, for bigamy, was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment.
