After viewing a big wheatfleM and shearing sheds, he said what fee had known from figures he bad confirmed with his own eyes. It was sheer pleasure to witness the wonderful progress made, and he realised Australia’s enormous capacity for expansion. He was tremendously interested in the problem of the better distribution of the British race. While the Old Country was suffering from the social, moral ami economic effects of congestion, her children’s outlook was hampered by the existing conditions and the Dominions were hampered by jack of helpers. Here was a great piece of work for the Governments of the Dominions to do in free co-operation with one another.
