The 'dam of Bold Ronald is Flora (1913), by the imported Stallion Squire Ronald (444), one of the weightiest and best horses of the Clydesdale breed that ever came to Otago. The grand-dam Rose (857), was a daughter of another very high-class and weighty imported horse named Aitkenbrae (102).
